SeasonTypically July thru October. UsesFlorida Avocados have less oil than the Hass avocado grown in California or Mexico. They are excellent sliced fresh in salads. For guacamole the Tonnage variety is recommended. 
How to Buy
Avocados are sold by the piece at the Farm Market. Small boxes are also available for shipping.
Storage and Ripening Avocados will be soft to the touch when ripe. They should be stored at room temperature until they are ripe and ready to eat. Once ripe, they can be stored in the refrigerator for about one week.
