A New Look

Instead of mailing a letter and envelope with crop information, this year are sending a post card pointing to season details online. We still have the telephone for anyone who doesn’t care to shop online.  This format will allow us to keep information up to date, as ship dates often shift due to weather, as well as provide additional information and pictures without burning through extra paper. Thank you for your patience during this transition!

Green Sour Mangos

This green mango crop is running late, but all indicates an excellent season ahead. The trees bloomed multiple times so there are everything from brand new bloom to small fruit on the trees right now. That generally means we have more flexibility in filling orders as there will be fruit at multiple stages of maturity throughout most of the season. It has been a cool, but not cold winter and a dry spring. So far both the quality and quantity available look good.

SHIPPING

Baby mangos are available in 10 and 25 pound packages. Soft- and hard-seed come in 8, 11, and 22 pound packages with flat rate shipping. The 48 pound bulk pack is also available but shipping costs vary dramatically. If you are looking for a larger quantity we recommend comparing the cost of the bulk box versus multiple flat rate boxes as they often come in at less per pound.

Baby mangos need to arrive within 2 days so 2nd Day Air is the default. Soft- and hard-seed are a little tougher and can handle up to 3 days so Ground is viable for much of the Eastern US. Ground shipping is included in the base price. Expedited shipping is required anywhere with 4+ days transit time. The UPS transit times are very spotty this year so please review the map. When in doubt upgrade. If it turns out that 3 Day and Ground have the same delivery date for your address we will automatically make that adjustment and refund the balance. If they are not going to make it in 3 days and you chose Ground we will have to cancel the order. Sometimes a further upgrade is minimal and highly recommend if you can afford it.

Sorry still no shipments to California or Arizona due to restrictions imposed by those states.

  • Pickup times by appointment on Tuesdays 10am to 4pm and Thursdays 10am to 6pm
  • $4/lb baby size, $3/lb for soft- and hard-seed
  • 50% deposit required
